More than thirty years after first opening back in 1979, legendary Leeds music venue The Warehouse returned in 2011 with an astonishing new look, sound and feel. Now fully back into the swing of things and with a killer selection of promotions lined up for 2012, The Warehouse is set to celebrate its 33rd year at the top of its game, especially given the opening of a new third room – The Garage – which is a glass roofed, bricked wall rave paradise!
Said promotions include legendary night Back to Basics who have recently moved to the club and will take over the place for the first time on 21st Jan with Lil Lois and Gavin Herlihy before returning on Feb 4th for Rebel rave with Damian Lazarus, Clive Henry and more, then again on 18th with Matthias Tanzmann before taking part in the huge Legends of House series as of part the 33rd Birthday celebrations when Kerri Chandler plays.
Filth will also be at the heart of all The Warehouse does this year – itself turning 5 years old – with a monthly slot and the likes of Davide Squillace, Audiofly, James Teej, The Martinez Brothers, DJ.T, Daniel Bortz, Martin Dawson and more all playing in the first third of the year.
In house night Sequence will plug any gaps with an uplifting and vocal house soundtrack (think Defected, Strictly Rhythm etc), whilst Speed Queen will also enjoy a return to their former home every so often. The poly sexual night is a legend on the Leeds scene and has been for years.
Plenty of chacnces to make the most of the new DJ booth, Funtkion One sound system, lights, lasers, plenty of bars, cosy second room The Loft and so much more…
