After a couple of weeks catching up the post multi-bank holiday backlog has finally been reduced, meaning it’s time to deliver another expert list of recommended releases. This time round we’ve managed to rope in a man responsible for one of this summer’s hotly tipped albums, Objects In A Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear, which is set for worldwide success come June.
Pitto established himself as a Dutch techno force to be reckoned with when he released the internationally acclaimed singles Sexvibe in 2008, and Feelin‘ a year later. In 2011 his debut artist album arrives on Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal’s label, Green; a collection of work that sees the award winning producer collaborate with a variety of musicians and vocalists, taking a step towards poppier sounds. All of which means the next few months should see a significant amount of attention focused on the rising star, who responded to our request by providing a list of tracks from names including Solomun, Julio Bashmore, Soul Clap, and Nathan Fake. Time to go shopping again then.
